Background Information:Alma del Mar permanently closed in December 2024 due to crime and instability around the area.
In South Philadelphia, Alma del Mar serves a taste of Mexico to its customers. With the help of Queer Eye, Alma, was able to create the resturant of her dreams. Inspired by her grandmother and her own culture, Alma makes sure all her customers leave more than satisfied. In this package, I captured the ambiance that Alma del Mar inhabits. I captured the story of immigrant businesswomen along with their hopes and dreams.
Production and Tools:
I used Adobe Premiere Pro for all editing in audio and video. I was able to create captions for those who do not speak Spanish.
